Ruin and sky. An old ruin at Blasket island viewing the sea and white clouds in the sky. It is hard to believe that families once lived on this island. The island is high with steep sides. Old and children must have a lot of difficulties not to fell down from the island. The houses, like this one, are built in a very steep part of the island. This image was captured on July 12, 2016.

Biography Leif Sohlman was born in Enkoeping (Enkoping) Sweden. He lived in the city until an age of 4 years when he moved to city Stockholm, capital city of Sweden, where he went to school and graduated as engineer in telecommunication techniques. Thereafter he was employed in Swedish telecom until retirement dealing with technical issues. After retirement he moved back to city Enkoeping. After his mother's death he began to photograph and also enhance photos with some artistic attempts. Now he is trying to learn to make digital paintings as a complement to photgraphy.
